I totally agree with you about the siblings dynamic. When I watched this movie for the first time (not knowing about the horrible stuff the director did, if I had I'd have been totally turned off it) I was so excited about the main characters being siblings because I'm so sick of uninteresting romantic leads in horror films.

Both are literally identical regarding Nicktoons being tied to real-world tragedies. In comparison, Nickelodeon's live action programming had reports of abuse on-set, and it took 20 years until the Nickcoms' stars would let their trauma resurface.

I love this movie, it's on my horror goat list. I've felt enjoyer's guilt a few times since the scandal broke but, at the end of the day, films are the product of hundreds or thousands of people. I don't have to support all members of the talented cast and crew by loving the product. It's tough to navigate for everyone but that's just my two cents. Thx for covering this awesome flashback ❤

Fun fact about the cat lady part, there’s a deleted scene where the Creeper speaks. Also look up the Marvel comic character Terror inc. same design of the creeper and same premise of stealing body parts but made 10 years before Jeepers Creepers. 1000% inspired the creeper.

Great review!!! I love that you addressed the director before jumping in because it really does change the viewing experience. I loved this movie, it terrified me as a child, and it’s still scares me to this day. It was a movie that I’d throw on pretty often until I found out about the director, I can’t watch it anymore without being kind of uncomfortable, which is too bad because allot of talented people worked on this film.

Fun fact, the chase scene was filmed in my hometown Dunnellon, Fl. The high school is on that road. The tree you see of the side by the street is still there but everything else is pretty much gone, farm land now.

I still remember we were literally on our way to see Powder at the theater, I think I was putting my shoes on & my mom came in saying how we were not seeing it & I so confused, she really didn’t explain why, just that she wouldn’t support the director. Now I know, she must have learned about him in the paper or radio. I watched it years later & yeah there are moments that are kind of hard to watch knowing about this guy.

Jeepers Creepers is the first horror movie I ever watched as a child! And my sisters and I have loved horror movies ever since!! The director is a disgusting creepo though which kinda ruins the movie for me :/
